I'm back from camp, and it was FUN :) I'm super tired now, but still a little in the campy mood. My legs are covered in bruises and scrapes but it was all fun. And extremely dirty. And muddy. No thanks to the rain. So the camp was held at Sarimbun Scout Camp (that's how it's spelt?) which is far from civilisation. So no chance of escaping or anything like that. The student leaders slept in dorms and the rest slept in huts. The dorm had this huge double-decked bed that stretched across the room and the forty over leaders had to bunk together. Divya, Eunice, Simran, Su Yee and I 'choped' the middle bottom bunk. Haha. Nice. I've got some pictures of the huts and dorms and all the other stuff from camp but this loon Blogger has some technical issues where by I can't click on the 'Edit Html' tab to insert any forms of html. So I can't upload any links here.
We did rock-climbing on the first day. Boy, rock climbing is tough. But it's quite fun actually. Suzanna climbed all the way to the top. Woohoo. I think she was the only one who did it :) Oh and we also did this night walk in the FOREST. Yes, the FOREST. With trees, insects unknown to the world and mud. LOTS of mud. Plus, with what luck we have, it rained practically almost everday for these past 4 days. The mud was squishy and soggy. We were supposed to walk through the forest with our group ALONE with no trainers and only a faint trail of lightsticks to follow. The mud was slippery and there were many roots sticking out and fallen trees. We couldn't even see where we were going. But I kinda liked the night walk. Haha. Call me crazy. IT was pretty fun. Everyone holding hands, walking in a straight line through the dense dark forest of sarimbun. The trail was about over half and hour long. Which is actually pretty long. We were all muddy and our shoes were all brown and yuck. Mr Low was with us and he wore sandals. Haha. Bad idea. He had so many insect bites.
On the second day, we did kayaking! Haha. The kayaking bit was FUN FUN FUN. About 4 of us took the single-sitter kayaks cause there weren't enough doubles. It is super fun. But the part where we have to carry it to the sea which is quite far away is so not fun. They were SUPER heavy, those yellow things. Kayaking was very fun. We kinda kept bumping into each other but it was fun. Aalya capsized. Kinda poor thing. We tried to help her but the trainer sort of asked us to go away. Haha. Weirdness. We did the Challenge Valley next - the tyre tunnel and the challenge slide which led to the milo pond. I'll show you the photos next time. Gota go now. Ciao.
